- When you post BPPL information we may store the contents to help in the preparation of your Income Tax Return and Financial Statements. We may record your postal address or fax number and contact you and send you our Newsletters or Tax Briefings.
- When you send BPPL an e-mail, we may record your email address and contact you and send you our Newsletters or Tax Briefings.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT FROM OUR WEBSITE?
- When you submit information to our Site, BPPL will collect personally identifiable information from you that may include your name, business and company name, e-mail address, residential and business address and other such information necessary to provide you with the services offered by the Site.
- As a general principle, BPPL will only collect personally identifiable information that is needed to operate the Site, to provide you with the services offered by the Site and to communicate to you information and services that BPPL believe would be of interest to you.
- BPPL automatically collect IP addresses and web site usage information from visitors to the Site. - BPPL will be unable to prepare your Income Tax Return accurately or offer the service requested.
- BPPL collects the Information to provide you with a specific service. For example, we may use the Information you provide us to complete your Income Tax Return, prepare Financial Statements, prepare Cashflow Forecasts, and Budget Projections, Analyse your Financial Security or other primary purpose services.
WHY DOES BPPL COLLECT THE INFORMATION AND HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED BY BPPL?
- BPPL also uses the Information to send you information (either by e-mail, fax or post) that you request. If at any time you receive material that you did not request or do not want to receive such material any more, please contact us.
- BPPL may use the Information you provide on our Website for the purposes for which you specifically provided the information, including providing you with feed back or advice about services offered by BPPL or informing you about upcoming seminars, events and conferences;
WHO DOES BPPL DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO?
- BPPL will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise supply to third parties any personal information obtained from you unless you consent.
- BPPL will disclose this information to the Australian Taxation Office and Australian Securities & Investment Commission, and other government bodies required by law.
- BPPL may provide personal information to Hillross Financial to allow the company to complete the financial planning matters that you have requested they attend to.
- BPPL does not engage subcontractors and therefore will not provide any personal information to them.
- BPPL develops aggregate (ie. not individual) reports, which incorporate some of the Information. The reports are for use by our business partners. However, these reports do not include any personally identifiable information.
HOW WILL BPPL KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE?
BPPL has security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse and/or alteration of the Information under its control.
These security measures are:
- Restricted Access: Our computer network is protected by a password system with regular changes, which are enforced.
- Anti-virus software is installed and is updated daily.
- Our servers (main data storage areas) are protected from loss of power by Uninterruptable Power Supply units.
- Computer operating system updates are installed regularly to maintain a high level of data protection.
- BPPL have installed an Internet Firewall to protect our computer network against computer hackers and intruders.
- BPPL have clauses in employee agreements requiring confidentiality
CORRECTING & UPDATING YOUR PROFILE
BPPL gives you the following options for accessing and modifying Information previously provided:
- You may gain access to Information that BPPL has collected about you, by contacting the person named below. BPPL will not charge you for responding to such a request, unless we incur costs in providing the information.
- You may also contact us via Mail Fax, or Email to notify us of any corrections/updates to the information we hold.
